Ashtabula County students ages 16-18 who are interested in learning to fly will have a unique opportunity to attend Ground School Training, which is required to pass the FAA Written Exam. The Northeast Ohio Regional Airport has partnered with Avit Flight Academy for a 5-week ground school, beginning December 9th. Classes will take place Monday, Wednesday, & Fridays at the airport from 6:30 – 8:00PM. Christmas week will be skipped. The cost for this class is $80, which will be reimbursed once the FAA Written Exam is passed. There may be additional scholarships available for flight training once this is completed!
