Here are a few updates as we start the school year on how we're supporting our gifted students:
- Gifted students in grades 3-5 will be supported in instruction by a consultant from the Ashtabula County Educational Service Center.
- Students in grades 6-8 will be provided instruction in a cluster grouping model within classes to challenge and accelerate their learning within the English/Language Arts, Mathematics, and 8th Grade Advanced Science settings.
- Identified students in grades 9-12 will be able to receive instruction through honors, College Credit Plus (CCP), and Advanced Placement (AP) courses that are offered.
- To enhance our current Geneva teachers and ensure compliance with providing gifted services to our students, staff will be providing ongoing professional development offerings specifically related to gifted programming.
For the 2022/23 school year, this instructional effort across all grade levels was determined as the best approach to meet the needs of our students. Supporting the professional growth of our staff and utilizing their efforts will allow our students to flourish.
