Good afternoon GMS Parents, There has been a recent concern at Geneva Middle School regarding the use of glass water bottles and cups in school throughout the day. Some of these containers have been dropped in classrooms and shattered, causing serious safety concerns. Please remind students that no glass containers of any kind are permitted in the building. These include, but are not limited to, glass pop bottles, water bottles with lids/straws, or perfume/cologne. We would also like to remind students that they should only be consuming water in their cups throughout the day, and not other drinks, such as juice, energy drinks, or pop. If students bring any outside food or beverages with them in the morning from places such as McDonald's, Dunkin, or Starbucks, they must take it to the cafeteria during breakfast time and finish it before they head to first period. There are water filling stations throughout the building that students are permitted to use at any time to refill their containers. Thank you for your cooperation. With Eagle Pride, GMS

The GMS Parent Boosters have extended the Book Fair at Geneva Middle School through Monday, Feb. 12th. The book fair will be open for students during the school day, and open to students, parents, and families from 4-6pm in the GMS school library. Come check out the huge selection of great books and unique gifts!

Recent research reveals that the average U.S. teen spends 4.8 hours per day using social media apps, including YouTube, Google, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Kids today are not tuned in to the dangers that exist on Social Media apps. It's time to be proactive and protect the children of Geneva. Please join us for an important presentation about the dangers of social media and warning signs that all parents should know. Mark you calendars for this Wednesday evening, January 24th from 6-7 pm at GHS auditorium. This is an adult only event due to the nature of the content, no students please. We hope to see you there.
