Good Morning!
Just a quick reminder for parents who drop off their students in the mornings. Please be sure to pull up to the end of the building as you drop off during inclement weather to enable traffic to move more quickly and avoid congestion on Sherman Street and Route 84. Students are permitted to enter in the doors at the end of the building, as well as the main doors. In order to ensure student safety, please do not drop off students in the middle of the parking upon arrival to school. Thank you for your help.

Resource Officer Joe Cooper and NAD (Northwest Ambulance District) paramedics Rory Shaw and Rob Bernardo, brought the Stop the Bleed program to students in grades 6th, 7th and 8th at Geneva Middle School. Stop the Bleed is a program that teaches students three quick techniques to help save a life. Students were taught how: (1) How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound; (2) How to pack a wound to control bleeding; (3) How to correctly apply a tourniquet, before someone bleeds out.
When asked why he brought Stop the Bleed to Geneva Middle School Officer Cooper responded “We brought the program so that the students can learn skills that they can take with them throughout their lives. A life they save can be their own, a loved one or even a stranger. We plan on having all students in grades 6-12 trained by the first of the year.”
The GMS Boosters Plant and Greenery Winter Sale pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, 11/29 from 4-6 PM and 11/30 from 11-1 PM in the AUX gym.
7th and 8th grade wrestling began this week. We would like to welcome Coach Cardaman and Coach Burgard as coaches for the team. They are always looking to expand the team. If your student in joining the team please contact the school
Time's Up! The GMS Winter Plant and Gift Market Sale ends TONIGHT, November 20th, at midnight. All proceeds from the sale benefit students at GMS. Final orders can be placed at www.fundraiseit.org , using student name and GMS.
Good Afternoon
Geneva Middle School conducted one of our required fire drills today. The staff and students did a great job exiting the building. We would like to thank both the Geneva Fire Department and the Geneva Police Department for their help during the drill.
Middle school wrestling practice begins on Monday, 11/20/23 from 2:30-4:30. It will be held at the middle school. Students must have their physicals completed to participated. Checks for athletic fees can be made out to Geneva Area City Schools.

We are planning to honor our veterans by creating a presentation that features their service for our country. To make this project truly meaningful, we are seeking photographs of your family members (grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters) who are veterans, along with some basic details: The branch of the military in which they served and the years they served.
