Attention students in need of community service hours: The Academic Boosters need help bagging groceries on Saturday, September 7th and Sunday, September 8th. Each shift will earn you 3 hours of community service. Please see Mrs. Debacker or Mrs. Buchanan to sign up.
Are you ready to be a part of something AMAZING? Join the magic makers of theatre -- Technical Crew members are needed for You Can't Take It With You. There are positions available in lights, sound, costumes, make-up, stage management, publicity, props, set crew, and set painting. Anyone interested should pick up a technical crew application from Mrs. Christopher in Room 208. Our first meeting will be on Thursday, September 12th from 2:30-4:30 in the GHS auditorium.
Are you tired of wearing the same old thing day after day? Try spicing up your wardrobe with donations from the Rachel's Corner rack in the cafeteria. Feel free to take what you'd like, and if you have something in your wardrobe you really don't want to wear anymore, add it to the rack. This is a fun way of sharing, and you get to try new fashions without the added expense!
The Lady Eagle tennis team improved to 10-1 on the season with a 5-0 win at Gilmour Academy last night. Singles winners were Mickey Zheng, Addison DiPofi and Ashlyn Thompson. Doubles winners were Abby Griffiths and Ayva Encarnacion, and Hannah Dunn and Jillian Miniard. Good job Eagles.
Congratulations to the Girls JV golf team as they defeated Edgewood yesterday afternoon 245-258. Leading the way for the Eagles were Elyza Schmid 60, Eva Sabo 61, Macey Schmid 61, Taylah Boss 63, and Abby Reese 70. Their record
now stands at 3-3. Great Job Ladies.
For the first time this season, Geneva Boys Soccer was forced to settle for a tie. They and the Kirtland Hornets finished up their game with a 2-2 draw on Thursday. Patrick McKinney and Alex Lee scored both of Geneva's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.The Varsity Boy's draw gives them a new season record of 3-3-1. Geneva will take on Hawken at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Go Eagles!

The varsity girls golf team fell short to Madison on August 29th, as they lost the match 198-205. Leading the way for the Eagles was Chloe Dodge with a 45, followed by Sophia Bell 51, Sarah Cybulski 54, Gabby Clugh 55, Caidyn Sielgel 55, and Abby Johnson 62. The girls conference record is now 5-3.
The Geneva Boys Golf team beat Lakeside on August 29th 178-204. We are 5-2 on the year. The top scorers were Isaiah Rose and William Dushney. Great job guys!
The boys varsity soccer team made a clean sweep against Lakeside on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Lakeside Dragons with a sharp 6-0 victory. That six goal margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season. They hit Lakeside with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Paxton Galliazzo, Max Galliazzo, and Alex Lee. The win got Geneva back to even at 3-3. Geneva is taking a road trip to challenge Kirtland at 7:00 p.m. tonight. Geneva will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.
Congratulations go out to the Lady Eagle tennis team as they outlasted the Heralds of St. John in Saybrook township last night by a, closer than it looked, 5-0 decision. Singles winners were Seniors Mickey Zheng, Addison DiPofi and sophomore Ashlyn Thompson - all in straight sets. Doubles winners in three sets were seniors Abby Griffiths and Ayva Encarnacion and Junior Jillian Miniard and sophomore Hannah Dunn. Congrats girls as you improve to 9-1 and good luck today at Gilmour. Go Eagles 🦅

I wanted to reach out this evening to let you know that over the next two days our high school staff will be collecting all student Chromebooks and chargers to take a full scale inventory of them as well as making any necessary repairs over the Summer.
Your students will turn them into their last teacher that they might need it for, in the case of exams, but must be turned in before they leave for Summer Break.

Here are the announcements for Wednesday, May 15th.
The varsity tennis team lost a tough 3-2 decision at Edgewood last night. The Eagle netters finish the regular season in second place in the CVC Lake division and conclude the season with a 12-6 overall record.
Post season play will continue on Friday with district action in Akron. We wish the doubles teams of Isaiah Rose and Myles Colgan, and Pu Amphonkiat and Logan Willsey the best of luck in their quest for the state tournament. Go Eagles

Good Afternoon Geneva!
Here are the GHS Announcements for Monday, May 13th.
Congratulations to both the boys and girls track teams on securing dominant victories in the CVC championship on Friday. Both teams fought off close rivals Madison and Perry as well as 4 other county teams to come out on top.
First place finishes for the boys went to Owen Pfeifer, Luke McKinney, Gio Rice, Donny Shymske, Abe Rosalaes, Kyle Opron, and Jamil Daghlass.
First place honors for the girls were Ella Haeseler, Alyssa Palmisano, Carmia Boland, Riley Williams, Ali Sochia, and Cali Boland
Second place finishers for the boys were Jovan Sanchez and Larry Stamper.
Second place honors for the girls went to Lily Schiemann, Ava Sartini, Delaney Marrison, Sydney Park, Maggie Moon, Mya Evangelista, and Grace Dubsky
Besides the title victories, the highlight of the meet was Donny Shymske breaking the GHS boys 1600 meter record with a time of 4:24.72. The record was last set in 2010 by Drew Avsec at 4:25.83. Congratulations Donny!
Attention next year's sophomores, juniors, and seniors....are you interested in being a part of the Philanthropy Club? There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 14th at 7 AM in Mrs. Best's room. Anyone interested should attend this meeting.
